CALIQ itself automatically creates Activities when certain business situations arise. For example, a sales person changes an order for an item on a back-to-back basis which has an impact on an outstanding purchase order – the appropriate buyer is notified via an Activity. Or a stock discrepancy is detected within the picking process – the elected warehouse manager is alerted via an Activity and they can pass it to the sales office for someone to call the customer for a decision to part-ship, ship an alternative or place the item on back-order.
