uthorised users may change or correct transaction narratives and transaction posting analyses without the need to reverse and re-enter journals – all changes are audit logged.

The CALIQ Nominal Ledger’s open, multi-dimensional structure provides comprehensive facilities for analysis, enquiry and budgeting. Analyse data by Division, Trading Unit, Department and Employee.

Optional Project Costing for analysing expenditure by Project (ie R&D projects, marketing events, new building etc)

Each ledger may be closed at different points after period end and each user may be assigned posting authority limits to ensure that only authorised users can post to previous or future periods. Once closed, periods and years may be re-opened for adjustments and then closed again – with appropriate authorisation.

Powerful Nominal Reporting

All transaction data is held in detail for as long as you need – no restrictions, nothing is purged.

Source documents may be scanned and attached to support all types of transactions as well as other related information – eg Spreadsheets backing up a journal, emails/faxes related to customer / supplier correspondence, audit papers etc.

Nominal journals have extended comments in addition to their narrative. All transactions may have Notes attached to them available to all users on enquiry / drill down.

Activities may be raised against any trading transaction to trigger follow-up action by a user.

CALIQ provides Nominal and Nominal Transaction “Explorers” – these are powerful easy to use functions to enquire into your business data with comprehensive filters and view options. Data can be summarised and grouped with sub-totals across periods, years, actual vs budget, trial balance and many more.

Users may drill down behind balances and transactions and right through to source, viewing source documents, notes and attachments.

A comprehensive Management Accounts reporting system, fully user-defined in content and layout, provides Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets and Supporting Schedules and ad-hoc reporting with budgets, forecasts and prior year comparisons, ratios and variances.

All data views, grids and financial reports can be exported to Excel with a single click, subject to user authorisation.

Total Management Control Over Credit

Work from on-screen task lists for chasing debts and following up customer account queries with drill-down into account details and transactions through to original orders and source transactions, view all associated documents (quotes, order acknowledgements, picking documents, despatch notes, invoices etc) with options to email/fax copies.

Integrated Activity Management ensures that queries and complaints can be assigned for investigation and resolution around the business with full audit and history until completed.
